Our Services.
We provide personal care on a 24
hour/7 days a week basis, including
care given by or under the supervision
of Registered nursing staff; the
administration of medication and
assistance with daily living.
Our current resident population
includes those who require care due to
having impairments related to Multiple
Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s,
Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other
related illnesses.
We provide supplies, equipment, and
devices necessary for the provision of
medical, personal care and activities of
daily living, including personal hygiene
and grooming.
We provide medical care that is
available in the facility, including the
ability to administer oxygen;
specialized tube feeding; and access to
dialysis.
We serve three meals daily in the
dining room and offer tray service for
residents who are ill; snacks between
meals and at bedtime; special and
therapeutic diets; dietary supplements;
and assistive devices for eating.
Social, intellectual, recreational,
physical and spiritual activities and
programs, including related supplies
and equipment.
Rehabilitation services and some
related supplies and equipment.
Laundry services including labeling,
washing and drying of all personal
clothing, bedding and linen including
mattresses, pillows, bed linen,
washcloths and towels.
Bedroom furnishings including hospital
type adjustable bed with headboard,
foot board, and rails; bedside table;
dresser; and comfortable chair.
Standard ward accommodations with
option to upgrade to Semi-Private or
Private (subject to availability).
Cleaning and maintenance of all
accommodations.
Equipment for the use of all residents
including toilet aids and other self-help
aids for activities of daily living.

Sunnycrest Nursing Home is located in Whitby,
Ontario (east of Toronto) and is licensed and
regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and
Long-Term Care. We have achieved an
"Accredited" status, as awarded by the CARF or
CCHSE, every year since our first in 1984.. We
have been under the direction of the same owners
since 1967 and have seen the expansion to two,
three-story wings accommodating 136 residents in
basic ward (4 beds), semi-private (2 beds), and private (1 bed) rooms. We are proud
members of the Ontario Long-Term Care Association.
Sunnycrest is located on the south side of Dundas street (Highway #2) at the first traffic
lights east of Thickson Road. We have local and GO bus service at the front of the
property. Shopping, schools and parks are all within walking distance.
Residents enjoy our large wheelchair accessible horticultural patio and gardens. We
have an on-site beauty salon, family room, a tuck cart and two large craft/activity rooms.
Interest and stimulation is essential to our everyday living and is challenged with life
enrichment spiritual, recreational and rehabilitative programs.
